SAFETY COORDINATOR
Summary
Conducts daily safety inspections, toolbox meetings, and compliance checks across construction sites in Singapore, ensuring adherence to WSH regulations and reporting risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily/weekly physical safety inspections across assigned sites (including Town Council multi-locations).
- Perform mandatory physical pre-inspections on-site prior to endorsing PTWs for high-risk works.
- Conduct and record daily 08:00 AM Toolbox Meetings for internal workers and subcontractors.
- Compile and submit individual Weekly Site Safety Inspection Reports for every project site location on time.
- Update daily inspection checklists aligned with project requirements, client rules, and MOM regulations.
- Inspect tools, heavy machinery, lifting gear, and PPE to ensure full regulatory compliance.
- Assist in preparing Risk Assessments (RA) and Safe Work Procedures (SWP) based on project Method Statements.
- Support documentation for WSH Award applications, bizSAFE (STAR), and ISO 45001/9001 audits.
- Conduct preliminary investigations for near-misses/accidents and implement preventive action plans.
- Monitor worker compliance, issuing formal safety warning letters or stop-work notices when necessary.
- Perform other safety or administrative tasks assigned by Management and Project Teams.
Job Requirements:
- Must possess a valid Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH Level B).
- Minimum 3 years of active construction site experience in Singapore.
- Clean WSH track record with no prior MOM safety violations or criminal record.
- 5.5 days' work a week.
