Safety Coordinator

Summary

Oversee construction-site safety: daily inspections, compliance checks, incident investigations, and safety training to enforce WSH regulations and promote a culture of safety.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) activities at construction sites.
  • Conduct daily site safety inspections and ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act, MOM regulations, and company safety policies.
  • Organise toolbox meetings, safety inductions, and safety awareness programmes.
  • Assist in incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain safety documentation, including risk assessments, inspection reports, and training records.
  • Liaise with project managers, site supervisors, subcontractors, and clients on safety matters.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with safe work procedures.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma in Workplace Safety & Health, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
  • Possess a valid Workplace Safety and Health Coordinator (WSHC) qualification recognised by MOM.
  • Good knowledge of Singapore Workplace Safety and Health legislation and construction safety requirements.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in semiconductor, industrial, cleanroom, or M&E construction projects will be an advantage.
