Safety Coordinator
Summary
Oversee construction-site safety: daily inspections, compliance checks, incident investigations, and safety training to enforce WSH regulations and promote a culture of safety.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) activities at construction sites.
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act, MOM regulations, and company safety policies.
- Organise toolbox meetings, safety inductions, and safety awareness programmes.
- Assist in incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain safety documentation, including risk assessments, inspection reports, and training records.
- Liaise with project managers, site supervisors, subcontractors, and clients on safety matters.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with safe work procedures.
Job Requirements
- Diploma in Workplace Safety & Health, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
- Possess a valid Workplace Safety and Health Coordinator (WSHC) qualification recognised by MOM.
- Good knowledge of Singapore Workplace Safety and Health legislation and construction safety requirements.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in semiconductor, industrial, cleanroom, or M&E construction projects will be an advantage.
