Oversee workplace safety at two operational yards by conducting inspections, enforcing PPE use, and ensuring compliance with WSH regulations and high-risk work procedures.
Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Coordinator to support the WSH Manager in implementing safety and health measures across 2 operational yards, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct site inspections and safety checks to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Monitor and enforce proper use of PPE and adherence to safe work procedures to reduce workplace risks
- Support compliance with Work At Height (WAH) requirements, Permit to Work (PTW) procedures, and other high-risk work activities to maintain safety standards
- Lead toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and worker engagement sessions to promote safety awareness and participation
- Assist in investigating incidents and near misses, documenting findings, and following up on corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Maintain and update safety records and checklists to ensure accurate documentation and regulatory compliance
- Support the implementation of Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), and the WSH Management System to enhance workplace safety
- Assist during authorities’ inspections and client audits by providing necessary documentation and facilitating compliance checks
Required competencies and certifications
- Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) or equivalent
- Certification in Managing Work at Height or equivalent
- Own transport and ability to travel between operational yards as required
- Minimum 2 years of relevant WSH experience
