Safety Lead (EHS)

About the role

Own environmental, health, and safety for an energetics manufacturer with a live tactical test range. You will build the written safety program, drive OSHA/ATF/EPA alignment, and make safety a designed-in discipline rather than a reaction — directly supporting Bravo's shift out of firefighting mode. In this environment, safety leadership protects both people and the mission.

What success looks like in this role

• By day 30: A site-wide EHS risk assessment across manufacturing, energetics spaces, and the range is complete.
• By day 60: Core written safety procedures, job hazard analyses, and a training/audit calendar are published.
• By day 90: Incident reporting and corrective-action tracking are live, and you pass an internal audit against OSHA/ATF requirements.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain the EHS program: written procedures, JHAs, SDS, and training
• Ensure OSHA, EPA, ATF, and DOT/hazmat compliance across sites and the range
• Lead incident investigation, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions
• Run safety audits, inspections, and drills; own PPE and hazardous-materials handling standards
• Partner with Compliance, Facilities, and Production on safe operations at scale

Qualifications

Required

• 5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing or hazardous-materials environments
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and hazmat regulations
• Experience building written safety programs and running audits
• Bachelor's in safety, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• U.S. person; able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

Preferred

• Energetics, explosives, chemical, or defense manufacturing background
• ATF explosives storage/handling and DOT hazmat expertise
• CSP or ASP certification
