Position Summary

The Safety and Compliance Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the safety programs for JLT Trucking Company to ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and company safety standards. This role focuses on reducing accidents, improving driver performance, and fostering a strong safety culture across a fleet of approximately 120 power units.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, and state safety regulations
• Maintain and update company safety policies and procedures in coordination with HR
• Oversee driver onboarding, safety orientation, and ongoing training
• Conduct safety meetings and remedial training

• Monitor driver behavior using telematics, and camera systems
• Lead accident and property damage investigations and root-cause analysis
• Coordinate post-accident testing and documentation
• Work with insurance carriers and legal teams on claims
• Track safety KPIs and prepare reports for leadership
• Partner with operations, dispatch, maintenance, and HR to reinforce safety culture

• Must perform monthly facility and safety inspections

• POC for employee injury reporting
