Responsibilities:
Conducts safety inspections and audits to assess employee compliance with safety regulations.
Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.
Reviews safety training and recommends revisions, improvements, and updates.
Inspect and verify company compliance with relevant safety regulations.
Reviews accidents and incidents reported by employees and visitors to the facility.
Ensures completion of required OSHA recordkeeping and reporting.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules.
Maintain accurate and current records in accordance with guidelines.
Inspect and verify company compliance with relevant safety regulations.
Conducts employee training on applicable safety standards.
Inspects safety equipment; makes recommendations for enhancements, fixes or replacements.
Collaborates with management to develop, prepare, and implement safety policies and procedures.
Ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms.
Analyze incident reports, metrics and injury case studies in order to institute changes that lead to a safer environment.
Provides technical and administrative support to the safety committee.
Monitor the removal of biological, physical or chemical hazards from the workplace.
Stops operations and activities that could harm employees or equipment.
Provide safety training for employees on policies, regulations and procedures.
Advise the company's administrative team on safety issues and compliance on specific projects and operations.
Supports and adheres to company policies, procedures, and work-rules and ensure that department employees comply with policies, standards, and work-rules.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
