Safety Manager

Position Summary

DataONE Construction is hiring a Safety Manager to run the jobsite safety team. This role is in charge of Safety leads and Coordinators, the Safety Administrator, and Safety Laborers, and needs real safety knowledge of industrial electrical, welding, pipefitting, plumbing, rigging and crane picks, and equipment operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and direct Safety team, the Safety Administrator, and Safety Laborers
• Set daily priorities for the safety team and make sure work is covered on the jobsite
• Apply safety knowledge of industrial electrical, welding, pipefitting, plumbing, rigging and crane picks, and equipment operations
• Support and oversee barricades, LOTO setup, energization watches, labeling, and safety cleanup
• Walk the jobsite, identify hazards, and make sure corrective actions get done
• Coordinate with field supervision and trades so safety plans match the work being performed
• Update Monday.com boards used to track safety work, staffing, and follow-up items
• Use Microsoft Office to build, update, and share safety reports, trackers, and documents
• Review safety records, certifications, and sign-in sheets maintained by the Safety Administrator
• Coach the safety team and report issues to management as needed
• Enforce company and OSHA safety requirements on the jobsite

Physical Requirements

• Walk active construction sites and work outdoors in all weather as needed
• Stand, walk, climb, and move through industrial work areas during site checks
• Work at a computer to update Monday.com boards and Microsoft Office documents
• Wear required PPE when on the jobsite
