Safety Manager - US Field Ops
Description
Exodigo is the leading underground mapping solution for non-intrusive discovery. Our platforms combine multi-sensor fusion, 3D imaging, and AI technologies to create complete, accurate underground maps that enable confident decision-making for customers across the built world. We transform the project lifecycle for our customers, who include key community stakeholders in the utilities, transportation and government sectors.
We are experiencing sky-rocketing growth and closed a historically large $96M Series B round in July of 2025.
Exodigo is looking for a hands-on Safety Manager to lead safety across our growing US field operations. Our teams map underground infrastructure using advanced sensing technologies, working across urban streets, transportation corridors, construction sites, and other complex environments.
You will own the development and day-to-day execution of our field safety program, supporting employees and field partners across multiple regions. This role combines time in the field—observing work, coaching crews, and addressing risks—with building the standards, training, and processes needed to scale safely.
Job description
- Lead field safety: Improve and establish clear, practical safety standards and work with Regional Managers and Field Leads to ensure they are embedded into daily operations.
- Maintain a strong field presence: Conduct site visits, inspections, and audits across US projects, including night operations. Identify unsafe conditions and ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Support project planning: Review project risks before mobilization and help teams develop site-specific safety plans, job hazard analyses, and emergency procedures.
- Manage operational risks: Address exposure to live traffic, roadside work, manhole access, equipment handling, driving, heat, fatigue, and other site-specific hazards. Establish clear boundaries and controls for any work involving confined spaces.
- Train and coach teams: Lead safety onboarding, toolbox talks, refresher training, and practical coaching for employees, supervisors, and field partners.
- Oversee field partner safety: Align third-party crews with Exodigo’s safety expectations and verify required training and documentation before work begins.
- Investigate and prevent incidents: Lead incident and near-miss investigations, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions and lessons learned across regions.
- Manage safety requirements: Maintain safety records and help ensure operations meet applicable governmental, client, and site requirements.
- Build accountability: Track safety performance, training completion, recurring risks, and corrective-action closure. Give operations leadership clear recommendations and escalate unresolved risks.
- Champion stop-work authority: Empower every team member to raise concerns and stop unsafe work, and support safe restart decisions.

- Experience working around live traffic, active construction, or utility infrastructure.
- Strong communication and coaching skills, with the ability to earn trust in the field and hold teams accountable.
- Ability to translate safety requirements into clear procedures that crews can consistently follow.
