Serves as a Safety and Occupational Health Specialist/Manager on a Contract Safety Team in the Contract Safety Group, Safety Center, Technical Directorate, and Defense Contact Management Agency (DCMA).
Serves as a Contract Safety Manager (CSM) expert identifying risk to prevent injuries to government employees, damage to government property, and productivity losses.
Serves as the technical authority and consultant on matters of ammunition and explosives safety, aircraft ground safety, industrial safety and fire prevention.
Plans, develops, and implement an annual Contract Safety Program to ensure compliance with safety contractual requirements and to mitigate risk.
Evaluates conditions of current and future defense contractors, defense service providers, and producers of defense weapon systems, equipment, components, or spare parts.
Provides highest level of functional, technical, and professional Contract Safety support to various federal, state, local officials, and contractors, as well as internal support to the Contract Safety teams and supervisor.
Participates in meetings, conduct briefings, and coordinate amongst various levels of management within DCMA and other government agencies in regards to Contract Safety.
