Safety & Occupational Health Manager
About the Position: Serves as the Safety and Occupational Health Manager, with responsibility for planning, organizing, developing, coordinating, and evaluating a comprehensive Occupational Safety and Health Program for 38TH Air Defense Artillery BDE. Determines safety requirements, formulates plans and methods to improve safety and working environment, and reduces preventable accidents for all Soldiers and civilian employees within the organization.
Serve as the Safety and Occupational Health Manager, with responsibility for planning, organizing, developing, coordinating, and evaluating a comprehensive Occupational Safety and Health Program for 38TH Air Defense Artillery BDE.
Advise Commanders on Occupational Safety and Health program management, accident prevention and control.
Serve as the primary staff member advising the commander on U.S. Army SOHP management, including accident prevention, safety compliance, safety procedures, accident reporting and analysis, safety surveys, and risk management.
Ensure Composite Risk Managements is integrated into all 38TH Air Defense Artillery BDE plans, operations, and procedures. Develops safety standards and policies for high-risk operations.
Develop and conduct a comprehensive safety education program, promoting safety awareness for the organization.
Participate in field training exercises and ensures Composite Risk Management is integrated into all operations and procedures.
