SAFETY & OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST

You will serve as a SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST in the OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY, HEALTH, AND ENVIRONMENT DEPARTMENT of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. SALARY RANGES: GS-11: $77,964 - $101,359 GS-9: $64,438 - $83,774

You will perform Occupational Safety and Health Program functions to ensure effective and efficient implementation of standards and regulations.

You will identify, analyze, and evaluate mishaps statistics, investigative reports, a variety of hazards, and other data involving changing work operations, diverse environmental conditions and manpower machine relations.

You will assist with the development of training material or awareness bulletins o ensure all employees are aware of Occupational Safety and Health standards and regulations.

You will provide oversight of work to ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health standards and regulations.

You will perform inspections of facilities and work spaces. You will coordinate the performance of required inspections, checkpoints, or audits.

You will respond to mishaps, near miss incidents, and unsafe/unhealthful conditions.
