🔍 Role Summary
We are seeking a full-time WSHO who also holds a valid Environmental Control Officer (ECO) certification, to oversee safety and environmental compliance for a public sector construction project. This dual-role position ensures streamlined site operations and full regulatory coverage under the WSH Act, WSH (Construction) Regulations 2007, and Environmental Public Health Act.
Key Responsibilities
Workplace Safety & Health (WSHO):
- Implement and maintain the Safety Management System (SMS)
- Conduct safety inspections and rectify unsafe practices or conditions
- Promote safe work conduct and ensure compliance with WSH legislation
- Be stationed full-time on site throughout the construction period
- Must have completed the Design for Safety Appreciation Course (MOM-accredited)
Environmental Control (ECO):
- Monitor and advise on vector control, pollution mitigation, and site housekeeping
- Conduct regular site checks to ensure hygiene and prevent mosquito/rodent breeding
- Possess a valid Certificate of Competency in Earth Control Measures (ECM)
- Compile and submit environmental data (e.g. water/diesel usage, debris volume)
- Maintain records of NEA/PUB inspections and submit to SO’s Rep upon request
Requirements
- MOM-registered WSHO with valid practicing certificate
- Completed Design for Safety Appreciation Course
- Holds ECO certification and CoC in Earth Control Measures (ECM)
- Prior experience in public sector or HDB projects preferred
- Strong site coordination and reporting skills
