Safety Officer
Summary
Oversee factory health, safety, and environmental compliance in a cement or heavy-industry setting, conducting audits, training staff, and enforcing UAE safety laws.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and inspect workplace activities to ensure compliance with safety protocols and UAE labor laws.
Lead site safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
Develop and deliver safety training and induction sessions to new and existing staff.
Maintain all safety records and ensure documentation is up-to-date.
Respond to and manage on-site emergencies, providing first response and coordinating with emergency services as needed.
Recommend and enforce corrective actions for any unsafe practices or conditions.
Promote a strong safety culture across all departments.
Requirements
Minimum 3–5 years in industrial safety (cement, construction, or heavy industry)
Experience in a cement manufacturing plant or construction industry is a mandatory prerequisite
NEBOSH IGC / IOSH / other recognized HSE certifications (mandatory)
Strong knowledge of UAE health & safety laws and industrial compliance
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong documentation/reporting abilities
Physically fit, alert, and responsive to factory operations
