SAFETY OFFICER

Job Responsibilities:

• Implement and enforce the companys Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures on site.
• Conduct daily site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Coordinate and conduct safety inductions toolbox talks and training sessions for all workers and subcontractors.
• Maintain and update safety logs inspection checklists and incident/accident reports.
• Investigate incidents and near misses determine root causes and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
• Liaise with site engineers foremen and subcontractors to ensure safety measures are integrated into the daily work plan.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all site personnel.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with UAE labor laws and local safety authority standards (e.g. DM Trakhees HSEAD etc.)
• Assist in preparing safety reports for internal management and external stakeholders.
• Support emergency preparedness and response plans on site.

Key Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelors Degree in a relevant field (Occupational Health & Safety Engineering or equivalent).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in HSE roles within the construction industry with at least 5 years in the UAE/Gulf region.
• Must hold relevant certifications such as NEBOSH IGC IOSH or equivalent.
• Knowledge of local authority requirements and international safety standards (e.g. OSHA ISO 45001).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in report writing and use of MS Office applications.
• Must be currently based in the UAE.
• Can join immediately.
