SAFETY OFFICER/ MANAGER (COMMERICAL)
Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Officer / Manager (Commercial) to oversee workplace safety, maintain statutory compliance, and champion continuous health and safety improvements across our commercial construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full project compliance with the WSH Act, WSH Regulations, Environmental Public Health Act, and all relevant local safety standards.
WSH Systems & Documentation: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) policies, standard operating procedures, documentation, and statutory reporting systems.
Site Safety & Audits: Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations to eliminate hazards and drive safe work practices on-site.
ISO & Continuous Improvement: Support the implementation and maintenance of ISO standards and actively drive continuous improvement safety initiatives across project sites.
Requirements
Education: Degree, Diploma, or Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety & Health (WSH).
Certifications:
Possess Work-at-Height (WAH) and Risk Management certifications.
Additional accredited safety certifications are highly advantageous.
Experience: Proven experience in construction site safety management, site inspections, and regulatory compliance.
Core Competencies:
Strong working knowledge of commercial construction safety regulations and ISO standards.
Detail-oriented, highly independent, and proactive problem-solver.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with client teams, authorities, and subcontractors.
