Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and proactive Safety Officer (SO2) to oversee and implement workplace health and safety programs for a construction-related project at Shaw Center Mall, Manila. The selected candidate will ensure compliance with safety regulations, promote a culture of safety, and support project operations in maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor occupational health and safety policies and procedures on-site.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and hazard assessments.
- Ensure compliance with DOLE regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Facilitate toolbox meetings, safety orientations, and training programs.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses and prepare reports with corrective actions.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness and response activities.
- Maintain safety documentation, permits, and compliance records.
- Liaise with government agencies and support local permit applications when required.
- Monitor contractor compliance with site safety requirements.
- Promote safety awareness among project personnel.
Qualifications
Required
- Valid Safety Officer 2 (SO2) License/Certification.
- Experience in a construction-related environment preferred.
- Knowledge of occupational safety and health regulations.
- Familiarity with DOLE requirements and local permit applications is an advantage.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
Preferred
- Certified First Aider Training.
- Experience working on commercial construction or mall fit-out projects.
Residence Requirement
- Must be resident within Manila.
- Candidates living near Shaw Boulevard or adjacent areas will be highly preferred.
