Safety Officer (Stormwater Drainage)

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and contractors working on stormwater drainage projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures for stormwater drainage projects in accordance with company and industry standards
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Provide safety training and orientation to new employees and contractors
- Investigate and report on any safety incidents or near misses, and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences
- Maintain accurate records of safety training, inspections, and incidents
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure safety measures are integrated into project plans and schedules
- Stay updated on industry best practices and regulations related to stormwater drainage safety
- Participate in safety meetings and communicate safety-related information to project teams
- Proactively identify and address potential safety issues and provide recommendations for improvement
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10-years of experience in a safety role, preferably in the construction, engineering industry or related field.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards related to stormwater drainage projects
- Certification in NEBOSH General/ Construction Certificate or equivalent, OSHAD - Qudorat official Registration
