Safety Officer
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Management System.
- Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act and its subsidiary legislation.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
- Recommend and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Conduct safety induction, toolbox meetings, and safety briefings.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare investigation reports.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and relevant authorities on WSH matters.
- Prepare and maintain safety records, reports, permits, and documentation.
- Monitor subcontractors' compliance with site safety requirements.
- Assist in emergency preparedness planning and emergency response exercises.
- Promote a positive safety culture across all project sites
Requirements
- Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), Singapore.
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
- Familiar with WSH Act, Environmental Public Health Act, and Code of Practice.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
