Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Management System.
  • Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act and its subsidiary legislation.
  • Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
  • Recommend and implement corrective and preventive measures.
  • Conduct safety induction, toolbox meetings, and safety briefings.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare investigation reports.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and relevant authorities on WSH matters.
  • Prepare and maintain safety records, reports, permits, and documentation.
  • Monitor subcontractors' compliance with site safety requirements.
  • Assist in emergency preparedness planning and emergency response exercises.
  • Promote a positive safety culture across all project sites

Requirements

  • Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), Singapore.
  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
  • Familiar with WSH Act, Environmental Public Health Act, and Code of Practice.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
