Summary

Oversee safety and security at a hotel, monitoring systems, patrolling premises, enforcing policies, and responding to emergencies while training staff on procedures.

The role involves identifying potential security risks, enforcing company safety policies, and collaborating with local emergency services. The officer acts as the first line of defense against accidents, unauthorized access, and security breaches, maintaining a secure and hazard-free environment.

  • Monitor surveillance systems, alarms, and property access points.

  • Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify hazards or security breaches.

  • Enforce safety regulations and company policies (e.g., fire safety, PPE compliance).

  • Respond quickly to medical emergencies, accidents, or threats and write incident reports.

  • Train staff on basic safety procedures and emergency evacuation plans.

  • High school diploma or a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.

  • Proven work experience as a Safety Officer, Security Guard, or similar role.

  • Valid security license or safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH).

  • Strong observational skills and the ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.

  • Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills.
