Safety Technician

Responsibilities for safety technician:

• Calibrate and maintain gas monitors used in the safety department
• Participate in emergency response activities
• Examine the work area to assure that all required work has been completed and is in compliance with the contract requirements
• Maintains cleanliness of the work center and around assigned work area

Qualifications for safety technician:

• Ability to climb, bend, stoop, squat, crawl, crouch, kneel, lift, carry, balance and reach above shoulder level, push or pull weight up to fifty (50) pounds
• Pass all required physicals such as Hazmat, respirator
• Must be qualified to wear respirators (SCBA)
• Must be able to work all shifts, and/or weekends as required
• Must be able to enter and move about in confined spaces and wear personal protective equipment
• Valid driver's license
