Sage Analyst
Summary
The Sage Analyst will manage and optimize SAGE ERP systems, focusing on data integrity, inventory control, and financial reporting. They will use Microsoft Power Platform tools to build dashboards and automated workflows to support cross-functional decision-making.
De La Rue is growing and we are currently looking for a Sage Analyst to join our team.
Main duties include:
Develop and maintain robust data capture, validation and reporting systems across SAGE ERP, OFX and associated business applications to ensure data accuracy, integrity and timely business insight.
Analyse financial, inventory and operational data to identify trends, variances, risks and opportunities, providing meaningful performance insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
Lead structured investigations into inventory, costing, transactional and system-related discrepancies, working with stakeholders to identify root causes and implement sustainable corrective actions.
Monitor inventory transactions, stock movements, work-in-progress balances and material consumption, identifying anomalies and supporting initiatives that improve stock accuracy and financial control.
Maintain governance over business system master data, including items, BOMs, routings, work centres, labour rates, inventory parameters and related system standards to ensure operational and financial accuracy.
Support costing activities by preparing product and trial cost estimates, validating actual production costs, analysing variances and identifying opportunities to improve cost performance.
Coordinate the successful setup and deployment of new products, product variants and process changes within SAGE ERP, ensuring accurate system configuration of BOMs, routings, inventory structures and reporting requirements.
Support budget preparation and forecasting activities through the maintenance of planning parameters, costing standards, waste allowances, labour rates and other key business assumptions within ERP systems.
Develop, maintain and enhance business intelligence solutions, dashboards, Power BI reports, Power Apps and automated workflows that improve visibility, efficiency and decision-making across the site.
Support ERP enhancements, upgrades, testing activities and system improvements, ensuring that new functionality is effectively validated, documented and adopted by the business.
Act as the site focal point for SAGE ERP and related business systems, providing expert support, troubleshooting system issues and coordinating resolution with internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain and continuously improve reporting processes, including work order analysis, inventory reporting, manufacturing variance reporting and financial performance monitoring.
Collaborate proactively with Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality and Engineering teams to resolve business challenges, improve processes and ensure consistent use of business systems and data.
Promote data-driven decision-making and digital transformation by identifying opportunities to simplify processes, eliminate inefficiencies and increase automation through technology solutions.
Provide subject matter expertise on ERP systems, inventory management, costing methodologies, reporting tools and business processes to support strategic planning and operational excellence initiatives
Requirements:
Possess a bachelor’s degree in business analysis, engineering or science fields.
Experience with SAGE ERP or similar ERP systems, including inventory, costing, BOMs and master data management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial, inventory and operational data.
Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) and Microsoft 365 tools.
Good understanding of inventory control, financial reporting, budgeting and variance analysis.
Experience in developing reports, dashboards and automated business solutions to support decision-making.
Proven ability to drive continuous improvement, manage change and collaborate effectively across multiple functions.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, stakeholder management and organisational skills, with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
