The Chief Mechanical Engineer oversees the end-to-end development, technical execution, and continuous improvement of charger and adapter products. This pivotal role combines strong mechanical engineering expertise with hands-on product development to ensure designs achieve high standards of performance, reliability, quality, and manufacturability.

Throughout the product development lifecycle, you will lead mechanical design, material and component planning, DFM reviews, validation, and technical troubleshooting from RFQ and initial prototyping through NPI and mass production. You will also act as a key technical authority—working closely with customers and suppliers, resolving complex design and production issues, and driving product optimisation to enhance quality, cost efficiency, performance, and manufacturing effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end mechanical development of power charger and adapter products,

from RFQ evaluation and concept development through design validation and
mass production.

• Translate RFQ and customer requirements into product specifications, material

requirements, and mechanical design solutions, including component and BOM
planning.

• Lead mechanical structure design, design verification, testing, validation, and

technical issue resolution to ensure product performance, reliability, and
manufacturability.

• Provide technical support to customers and lead DFM/DFX reviews to optimise

product design, manufacturing processes, cost, quality, and production efficiency.

• Manage and coordinate technical development activities with mechanical

component suppliers, including supplier evaluation, design reviews, tooling,
material selection, and technical issue resolution.

• Lead technical problem analysis during NPI and trial production phases, identify

root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions to ensure
smooth product ramp-up and mass production.
