Who are we?

We’re GIG – a people-first business with creativity and commerce at our heart. We work with brands and retailers across the globe, delivering strategic retail media solutions that cut through the noise. We’re driven by our values – from Integrity and Accountability to having People at Heart. It’s how we do business, and it’s why our team is at the centre of everything we do.

The Role:

To support the Senior Sales Account Manager and wider sales team in unlocking client business opportunities and executing the sales strategy. You will collaborate across the commercial team to provide outstanding client service, delivering impactful retail media campaigns that achieve marketing objectives and reach target audiences effectively.

The Mission:

To act as the primary point of contact, building high-trust relationships with stakeholders to understand their business needs and drive strategic initiatives that deliver tangible results. Whether managing a portfolio of Joint Marketing Plan (JMP) suppliers, non-terms suppliers, or specialised projects, you ensure the successful execution of campaigns through a consultative and relationship-based approach.

You will achieve media sales targets via a consultative and relationship-based sales and service approach, supporting a selection of suppliers, and working closely with retailer buying teams. You will manage a portfolio of suppliers, as well as onboarding new prospective clients.

Key responsibilities:

  • Strategic Relationship Management & Advisory

Cultivate and maintain high-trust relationships with mid-to-senior stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor who proactively identifies business needs. Serve as the primary point of contact for designated suppliers, leveraging deep retail media expertise and market trends to challenge briefs and provide recommendations that evolve and improve campaign effectiveness. Deliver gold-standard client service to drive satisfaction, long-term retention, and repeat business.

  • Collaborative Account Planning

Support the Senior Sales Account Manager/Sales Lead in architecting and maintaining comprehensive strategic account plans. Ensure these plans are meticulously aligned with client commercial objectives and GIG’s internal growth targets, providing a clear roadmap for long-term partnership success. Ensure pipelines are updated weekly to allow accurate forecasting.

  • Commercial Expansion (Upsell & Cross-Sell)

Identify and capture opportunities for upselling and cross-selling integrated services, bespoke projects, or innovative solutions. Drive incremental revenue growth by demonstrating the value of GIG's broader ecosystem, while providing tactical support for new business initiatives and pitches where required.

  • Consultative Media Sales & Lead Generation

Drive revenue growth across a portfolio of suppliers through a consultative, relationship-based sales approach. Partner closely with retailer buying teams to support terms agreements and ensure delivery against annual Joint Business Plans (JBPs). Proactively pioneer new leads using market and competitor insights, converting prospects into active media investors through persuasive, data-backed narratives.

  • Campaign Planning & Operational Rigor

Engineer successful campaigns by synthesising historical performance data and rigorous media planning frameworks. Maintain full accountability for pipeline accuracy and strict adherence to booking protocols. Collaborate effectively with Operations and Creative teams to oversee the end-to-end delivery of campaigns, ensuring all output meets or exceeds client KPIs.

  • Insight-Driven Performance Analysis

Partner with Insight and Reporting colleagues to deliver sophisticated campaign analysis to suppliers. Translate complex data sets into actionable intelligence, identifying clear opportunities for campaign optimisation, budget reallocation, and improved ROI for future investment.

What we’re looking for: Essential skills and experience:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience within a client, account management, or sales role.
  • GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent numerate/language qualification).
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
  • Good at building relationships and rapport, with strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Logical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly organised with the ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • A curious mindset.
  • Ability to interpret campaign performance reports.
  • Ability to interpret market insight and apply it to client strategies.
  • For Media Sales focus: Confidence to cold call new prospective clients, confidence to challenge stakeholders, and strong presentation skills.
  • For Project focus: Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
Desirable:
  • A Level (or equivalent) qualifications.
