AirPro Fan & Blower Company Sales Application Engineer
Location: Rhinelander, WI; Cody, WY; or Remote
This position offers flexibility to work from either our Rhinelander, Wisconsin, or Cody, Wyoming office, or remotely for the right candidate.
What’s the Job?
Perform technical sales functions as needed to evaluate opportunities, develop scope of work and quotations to satisfy opportunities, secure the orders based on those quotations, and successfully communicate the order to the rest of the company.
Position Requirements
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (working experience desired, but not required).
- Technical evaluation capability of customer manufacturing/production processes.
- Significant computer skills required, including familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and the business software used for managing design and sales details.
- Must be highly organized as many details and much information will be handled in this job and must be dealt with efficiently and effectively.
- Must be very motivated to succeed no matter the circumstances.
- Working knowledge of centrifugal fans is necessary.
- Business knowledge including comprehension of profit/loss, different business types (original equipment manufacturer, contractor, user, consulting engineer, dealer, etc.), etc. is required.
- Effective means of written and oral communication.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Noise level is usually low.
Job Duties & Skills
To be successful in this job with AirPro, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Respond to customer and Rep product and project inquiries, determining solutions that lead to AirPro product and service orders.
- Prepare specific quotations.
- Present quotations to customers.
- Process orders.
- Train sales reps, equipping them to quote and process orders.
- Work on projects related to increasing the efficiency and accuracy of estimating fan costs.
- Perform all word processing (typing) necessary for communicating.
