Job Description

- Position Title: Sales Application Engineer / Steam Specialist
- Working Location: Ang Mo Kio
- Working Hours: 5 days (Mon - Fri, 8.30am – 5.30pm)
- Salary Package: Basic salary up to $6,500 + Transport Allowance + Variable Bonus
- Duration: Permanent Role
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong customer relationships by providing engineering solutions, technical advice, and pre-sales and post-sales support.
- Work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements, recommend suitable products or solutions, and manage customer expectations.
- Support customers by identifying technical issues, troubleshooting problems, and recommending practical and cost-effective solutions.
- Participate in technical discussions with customers’ engineering or maintenance teams to address process, product, or engineering concerns.
- Work with the Technical Service Unit to implement suitable engineering solutions and maintain the company’s service standards.
- Prepare and deliver product demonstrations, sales presentations, and technical training for customers, prospects, and internal teams.
- Support the preparation of technical or marketing materials when required.
- Keep updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitors to identify opportunities for product improvements or new products.
- Liaise and negotiate with principals and suppliers on quotations, technical requirements, specifications, and suitable solutions for customers.
- Source suitable products from reliable local and overseas suppliers to support and expand the company’s product range.
- Support engineering projects from planning to completion, including technical discussions, coordination with customers and suppliers, and resolving unexpected issues.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, with all relevant project information properly documented and stored.
- Coordinate joint customer visits with the Sales team and maintain clear communication with customers, suppliers, and principals.

- Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Relevant experience as a Steam Specialist / Product Specialist, with strong knowledge of steam systems and related applications.
- Must have hands-on experience with steam traps and other steam-related products such as boilers, fluid control systems, valves, and related equipment.
- Experience conducting thermal audits and identifying opportunities for energy efficiency or system improvement.
- Possess Class 3 Driving license
