Sales & Application Engineer
We are looking for a technically capable and commercially driven Sales & Application Engineer to support the growth of our condition monitoring and predictive maintenance business.
This role combines new business development, customer account management, and frontline technical support. You will be the first point of contact for customers, both in securing new opportunities and in handling day-to-day technical and operational issues.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales Growth
- Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities in industrial sectors.
- Conduct cold calling, prospecting, and structured outreach to open new accounts.
- Arrange and carry out customer visits to understand requirements and present solutions.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and follow up on sales opportunities to achieve targets.
Customer Support & Technical Frontline
- Act as the first point of contact for customer technical inquiries and issues.
- Provide basic troubleshooting and on-site support for condition monitoring systems and instrumentation equipment.
- Coordinate with internal engineering and service teams for complex technical issues.
- Manage and resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Build Lasting Relationships
- Understand customer operational challenges and recommend suitable solutions.
- Ensure customer satisfaction from pre-sales through post-installation support.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics / Instrumentation / Industrial Engineering or related fields.
- Experience in industrial environments such as maintenance, instrumentation, automation, rotating equipment, or condition monitoring is preferred.
- Willingness to conduct frequent site visits and engage with industrial customers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer-facing challenges.
- Good communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Good understanding of technical specifications, contract interpretation, and excellent sales negotiation skills.
The successful candidate will actively engage customers through prospecting, business development activities, and regular site visits, providing practical, technically sound solutions.
