Sales & Business Development Representative

The Sales & Business Development Representative will be responsible for generating new opportunities across Orbtronics’ software, education, training, and Innovation Hub services.

This role requires more than simply following a sales script. The successful candidate must understand potential clients’ needs, communicate the value of our solutions clearly, and find creative ways to build relationships and convert opportunities into projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage prospective clients, partners, schools, businesses, and public-sector institutions.
  • Generate qualified leads through calls, emails, social media, networking, referrals, events, and in-person outreach.
  • Promote Orbtronics’ software development, AI, digital-transformation, education, training, and Innovation Hub services.
  • Create proposals, presentations, outreach emails, sales materials, and other client-facing content.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand client needs and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Manage prospects throughout the sales process, from initial contact to proposal, negotiation, and closing.
  • Maintain organized records of leads, conversations, follow-ups, proposals, and sales results.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients.
  • Represent Orbtronics professionally at meetings, conferences, networking events, and community activities.
  • Work with the technical, education, and marketing teams to develop customized offers and outreach campaigns.
  • Monitor market trends and identify new industries, customer segments, and partnership opportunities.
  • Provide regular reports on outreach activity, pipeline development, conversion rates, and expected revenue.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in sales, business development, marketing, customer service, or partnership development.
  • Experience selling services to businesses or institutions.
  • Familiarity with software, AI, digital transformation, education, or professional training.
  • Strong presentation, proposal-writing, and relationship-management skills.
  • An existing professional network in Saint Lucia or the wider Caribbean would be an asset.

Formal qualifications are valuable, but demonstrated initiative, communication ability, commercial judgment, and the capacity to generate results will carry significant weight.

Commission Opportunity

This is a performance-driven role with significant earning potential. The Sales & Business Development Representative will typically work on opportunities valued between US$10,000 and US$250,000, spanning software development, digital transformation, professional training, education, and other Orbtronics services.

The successful candidate will be eligible to earn a 5%–12% commission on eligible projects they originate and successfully close. Commission is calculated on revenue received by Orbtronics, subject to the terms outlined in the employment or contractor agreement. Project values and commission earnings are not guaranteed.

Compensation & Work Arrangement

  • Salary: Competitive (based on experience & qualifications).
  • Work Setup: In person at Orbtronics Innovation Hub, Rodney Bay Commercial Center L2, Gros Islet, St. Lucia)
  • Contract Duration: 1 Year (Renewable based on performance).
