We’re looking for a Sales Consultant with an enthusiasm for Agriculture to support our communities in the Mid Canterbury region of the South Island. You’ll offer quality product solutions across our vast range of machinery, implements and ATVs. Based out of our Ashburton branch, you’ll service a territory across the Mid Canterbury region supported by your Sales Manager and Branch Manager.

About the Role

This full-time opportunity will see you:

  • Developing specialist knowledge of our range of machinery, implements and ATVs.
  • Engaging with customers to provide professional advice on the suitability of our range of equipment for their individual needs.
  • Taking ownership of your territory and product portfolio, managing an existing client base and generating new business.
  • Conducting a full suite of sales activities, including implementing regular call cycles, cold-calling and maintaining sales documentation.
  • Conducting equipment demonstrations and customer events.

You’ll also be supported to undertake continual training and development to ensure you’re ahead of the game with new product and technology developments.

About You


Ideally you’ll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of NZ’s agricultural industry.
  • Sound experience with modern machinery, implements and management technology systems.
  • 2+ years of proven sales experience is desirable.

In addition to the above technical abilities, you’ll also possess:

  • Exceptional customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Organisation and drive to successfully manage your time to achieve the best sales outcomes.
  • Competence using CRM and IT systems with the ability to pick up new programs quickly.
  • Be a team player and help maintain our positive working environment.
  • A track-record of delivery and an eagerness to go above and beyond for your customers.
