About the role
The Sales Coordinator is the operational backbone of the Strategic Accounts team. You’ll keep the department organized and running, so nothing falls through the cracks across Benchmade’s largest retail partners. That means tracking every project, deadline, order and meeting. With you running operations, the account managers can focus on growing the business. The role is built for someone who wants to grow into account management.

What you’ll do

  • Department organization: Be the central hub for the Strategic Accounts team. Own shared files, account folders, calendars and team rhythms (weekly check-ins, deadlines, recaps), so everyone knows where things live, what’s due and who owns it.
  • Project management in Asana: Own the team’s Asana workspace and keep every project for every account up to date. Work across teams to move projects forward, chase owners on next steps, and get projects across the finish line on time.
  • Vendor setup and compliance: Keep retailer portals, item setups, price uploads, routing guides and vendor agreements accurate and current.
  • Reporting: Build weekly and monthly sell-through, inventory and open-order reports for key accounts. Pull the data for business reviews.
  • Sell-in materials: Prepare line sheets, price lists, recommended buys and presentation decks with the analyst and account managers.
  • Meetings and events: Coordinate agendas, samples, logistics and follow-up for account visits, line reviews and trade shows.
  • Samples and fixtures: Process sample and seeding orders, and coordinate fixture-program orders and installs.
  • Partner communication: Act as a responsive day-to-day contact for retail buyers and internal teams (customer care, sales ops, marketing, production).
  • Special projects and department growth: Strategic Accounts is a growing team, and this role will grow with it. You’ll take on new projects, help build the processes and systems the team runs on, and shape the role as the department grows.

What you bring

  • You have 2+ years in sale support, account coordination or retail/wholesale operations.
  • You figure things out on your own. When you hit a gap, you find the answer, the right person or a workaround, and you come with solutions, not just questions.
  • You’re highly organized and the person others rely on to keep things on track. You’re proactive, with no reminders needed.
  • You’re tech-forward and efficiency-minded. You keep up with new tools, AI included, and use them to redefine processes and build systems that make the department more efficient.
  • You’re strong in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), project management tools like Asana, and order management systems
  • You communicate clearly in writing with both external partners and internal teams.
  • You want to grow into an account management role.

Nice to have

  • Outdoor, sporting goods or hardlines industry experience/interest
  • Experience with major-retailer vendor portals
  • Power BI or similar reporting tools

Working Conditions

  • Working Environment: Office Position in a manufacturing facility
  • Physical Demands: Lifting up to 25 lbs.; sitting and talking on the phone for extended periods of time; data entry for extended periods of time
  • Travel Requirements: Occasional
