Sales Development Representative

Customer Contact Services has been answering the phone for businesses since 1972. We run a 24/7/365 contact center serving healthcare organizations, auto dealerships, property managers and many other customers across the country. Six-time Inc. 5000 honoree, 20 million+ calls handled, 5,000+ clients served over our lifetime. We're growing, and we're building our outbound sales engine in-house.

The Role

You'll be one of the first dedicated SDRs at CCS, which means you're not inheriting a playbook — you're helping build one. Your job is simple to describe and hard to do well: find the right prospects, start conversations, and book qualified meetings for our sales team.

You'll own a defined vertical and territory and work a curated prospect list, and run outreach across phone, email, and LinkedIn.

This role is hybrid, with onsite training at our Minnetonka, MN office. We've structured it this way intentionally: onsite time during training means direct mentorship, faster coaching, and hands-on access to leadership while you're building your skills, before transitioning to a hybrid schedule.

What You'll Do

  • Prospect and build targeted lead lists using sales intelligence platforms
  • Run multi-touch outreach sequences: cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn
  • Qualify prospects against our ideal customer profile and book meetings for the sales team
  • Hit a clear, measurable goal: booked meetings that actually happen
  • Log activity and keep clean pipeline data

What Success Looks Like

  • You book qualified meetings, defined as a meeting that is both booked and attended by the prospect
  • Your meetings convert because you qualified honestly, not just to hit a number
  • By 90 days, you know who buys, why they buy, and what they object to
Who We're Looking For
Experience selling is a plus, not a requirement. We care more about the raw material:
  • Goal-oriented. You like having a number to hit and a reason to hit it. You're motivated by clear targets and visible progress.
  • Drive. You want to sell. You see cold outreach as a challenge, not a chore. Rejection doesn't dent you; it fuels you.
  • Phone comfort. You'd rather pick up the phone than hide behind email. Bonus if you've done any phone-heavy work: sales, recruiting, fundraising, customer service, collections, restaurant or retail work with real customer pressure.
  • Coachability. You take feedback, apply it fast, and ask for more.
  • Curiosity. You want to understand the businesses you're calling, not just read a script at them.
  • Organization. You can manage a list of hundreds of prospects without letting things slip.
  • Grit. Outbound is a numbers game with a long feedback loop. You keep swinging.
  • Career-minded. This role is a strong fit if you're interested in building toward a full-cycle sales career - we're looking for someone who wants to grow into more, not just fill a seat.

Nice to have, not required:

  • 1+ year in an SDR, BDR, inside sales, or phone-based role
  • Familiarity with Apollo, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar tools
  • Exposure to healthcare, home services, or B2B services

Why This Role

  • Ground-floor seat in a new outbound program at a 50-year-old company with real customer proof: referenceable clients in every vertical you'll be calling into
  • Direct access to leadership; your ideas shape the playbook
  • Clear, transparent comp: base salary plus tiered per-meeting bonuses
  • Lowered bonus qualification thresholds during your training period, so you can start earning meeting bonuses while you're still learning the ropes — not just after you've fully ramped
  • A defined path: SDRs who perform here are the natural pipeline into full-cycle sales roles

Compensation & Benefits

  • $20.00 per hour during your first 90 days (training and ramp period)
  • $52,000 to $58,000 annual base salary upon successful completion of defined ramp performance goals
  • Tiered per-meeting bonuses from day one, with reduced qualification requirements during training to help you start earning sooner - your rate per meeting increases as monthly volume climbs, and again once you're fully ramped
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week. Onsite training at our Minnetonka, MN office, transitioning to a hybrid schedule based on performance
  • Medical insurance
  • Dental and Vision insurance
  • 401k matching
  • Paid time off
  • Life insurance
  • Paid company observed Holidays
  • Advancement opportunities
