Sales Development Representative
Position Summary:
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for building new business pipeline for the SportsRecruits sales team. Reporting to the Full-Cycle Sales Manager, the SDR serves as the first point of contact between SportsRecruits and prospective customers, including youth sports clubs and high school athletic departments.
This role focuses on generating qualified new business opportunities that can develop into long-term partnerships. The SDR will learn and execute SportsRecruits' established sales process end-to-end, manage high-volume outbound prospecting with an emphasis on cold calling, and maintain the manual processes that keep the sales motion running effectively. As proficiency grows, the SDR will also identify and help implement opportunities for greater automation and efficiency.
Position Responsibilities:
Build and manage a monthly pipeline of qualified opportunities with club directors, high school athletic staff, and youth sports organization leaders.
Execute high-volume outbound prospecting through phone, email, and social channels to understand prospective customers' recruiting goals, needs, and challenges.
Qualify inbound interest and schedule discovery calls and product demonstrations for the sales team.
Work efficiently across sales systems, including CRM, sales engagement, and AI-enabled tools, while maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
Meet or exceed established daily, weekly, and monthly activity, pipeline, and meeting goals.
Develop a strong understanding of the sales process from initial outreach through opportunity creation.
Identify opportunities to improve sales processes, increase efficiency, and introduce appropriate automation.
Share prospect feedback, trends, and insights with the broader sales team to strengthen messaging, outreach strategies, and sales playbooks.
Collaborate effectively with the sales team to support pipeline development and overall new business growth.

0–2 years of sales, business development, or customer-facing experience.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with the college recruiting process through experience as a student-athlete, club or high school coach, athletic staff member, or similar role.
Previous exposure to outbound sales, prospecting, or lead qualification.
Experience working with CRM, sales engagement, or related sales technology.
Interest in youth sports, high school athletics, and the college recruiting landscape.
