Sales Development Representative
SummaryWe are seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) for our Supplemental, Acceleration, and Assessment team. This representative will be an important member of the sales team, playing a critical role in qualifying leads through initial discovery, profiling potential customers, and providing actionable insight on which sales campaigns and efforts elicit the best results. Working in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Product, your primary objective is to identify and create qualified opportunities for our Supplemental SaaS based solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
Execute outbound communication to new and existing customers.
Identify customer pain points and needs through initial discovery discussions.
Qualify interest/viability of potential customers for Savvas supplemental solutions and services.
Connect qualified leads to direct sales partner for additional discovery and presentation.
Provide initial customer follow up, including call/meeting scheduling or product demonstrations.
Assist with state, regional, or district specific campaigns.
Increase local school to school awareness of SaaS (Software as a Service) supplemental solutions to support curriculum adoptions.
Update and maintain customer contact information in Salesforce.com.
Provide detailed notes on all outbound and inbound activity in Salesforce.com including actions taken and next steps for consistent handoff to sales.
Conduct discussions with prospects and existing customers over the phone to identify and qualify opportunities.
Achieve monthly communication metrics and qualification goals.
Conduct personal research to stay informed of the education landscape and grow knowledge and understanding of new market trends.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
At least 1+ year of educational experience; prospecting, sales, tech support, customer service, school district experience, or related educational experience.
At least 1+ year of experience using a CRM/Customer Relationship Management tool.
Proficient using Google Suite or Microsoft Office, PC/Mac, and Internet experience.

Other:
This is a work from home position, with work hours based on a given territory assignment. Travel may be required for occasional company or departmental-based meetings.
