Role Description: Sales Development Spring Intern
We're seeking a motivated Sales Development Spring Intern for a 10-week paid internship designed to turn driven students into confident, capable salespeople. This program puts core B2B sales development skills front and center: cold calling, cold outreach, multi-touch sequencing, and client-facing meetings. Along the way, you'll use tools like automated sequences and AI/LLMs to make your outreach sharper and faster. You'll work directly with Account Executives, Sales Managers, and senior leaders who will coach you through real deals, real prospects, and real conversations, so you finish the program knowing how to open, qualify, and move an opportunity forward.
This is a hands-on sales bootcamp. You'll spend your time doing the work that actually builds a salesperson: getting on the phone, writing outreach that gets replies, booking meetings, and sitting in on client-facing conversations. The ideal candidate is hungry to learn the craft of selling, comfortable with rejection, and eager to improve a little every single day. We're looking for someone who will take real ownership of their work, deliver outstanding results, and see this internship as the start of a long-term career with Coranet.
At Coranet, you'll be selling the technology that powers some of the most impressive buildings around. We design and deliver the systems behind luxury high-rise condos, multinational development projects, national banks, and major commercial properties. That includes the high-speed networks that keep them connected, the security and surveillance that keep them safe, the audiovisual experiences that bring their spaces to life, and the smart-building technology that ties it all together. You'll learn to sell the invisible backbone of today's premier residential, commercial, and enterprise buildings, the ones people actually notice.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Development & Prospecting (your core focus):
- Make daily cold calls and conduct targeted email and LinkedIn outreach to identify prospective clients in construction, real estate, enterprise, and related industries.
- Build and run multi-touch outreach sequences, learning how to time calls, emails, and follow-ups for the best response.
- Qualify leads and opportunities, then coordinate with the sales team to move them down the funnel.
- Attend and participate in client-facing meetings, learning how to pitch Coranet, handle questions, and read a room.
- Work with senior sales to refine your messaging across our full range of solutions.
- Set meetings and pitch potential customers on Coranet and new business opportunities.
Automated Sequences & AI Implementation:
- Help build and improve automated outreach and drip campaigns, using CRMs and tools like LLMs (e.g., ChatGPT) for email writing, follow-up workflows, and research.
- Explore AI-driven ways to work smarter across the sales cycle.
Market Research & Strategy:
- Research target industries, competitors, and prospective leads to inform your outreach.
- Help build prospecting lists and sharpen lead generation tactics.
- Track your own metrics, including open rates, response rates, call outcomes, and meeting conversions, and learn to adjust based on what's working.
Collaboration & Reporting:
- Keep accurate records in our CRM, including outreach activity, call notes, and pipeline status.
- Share regular updates on your prospecting progress and pipeline development.
Qualifications
- Must be a current college senior in a Bachelor's program, ideally in Sales, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. All majors are welcome.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to speak clearly and professionally with prospects and clients.
- A strong interest in continuing with Coranet in a full-time role after graduation.
- A genuine interest in sales and a willingness to get on the phone and do high-volume outreach.
- Comfortable with cold calling and able to stay resilient and coachable through rejection.
- Able to write compelling, clear outreach messages.
- Strong organization and time-management skills, with the ability to balance the role alongside coursework.
- Interest in AI, CRMs, or sales automation tools is a plus.
- Willingness to attend occasional in-person networking events as your schedule allows.
Logistics
- Program Duration: January 19, 2027 to March 26, 2027 (10 weeks).
- Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours per week. Scheduling is flexible around classes, with core availability expected during weekday afternoons for client-facing calls and team coordination.
- Location: Primarily remote, with occasional in-person networking events depending on the intern's location. The program ends with an in-person presentation to company leadership.
