About Endless Access

Our vision is simple: the whole world, empowered.

Endless Access works to close the global digital divide by putting digital tools and skills in the hands of underserved communities, so young people everywhere become creators, not just consumers, of technology. Central to that work is a low-cost laptop running a free, offline-capable operating system full of educational games, learning resources, and family apps, turning "out of reach" into "within reach" in markets where most children have no computer at all.

About the Role

Endless Access is seeking a Sales Director to lead our Device Access presence in Guatemala, working through an ethical, mission-driven partner. This is a chance to build something that matters: widening access to technology and opportunity across Guatemala - with real ownership, genuine influence over how we go to market, and direct access to HQ leadership.

This is not a typical retail channel: the partner's promoters and branch teams originate and manage financial products and have never sold, demonstrated, or supported a laptop. The role is less about managing a channel that already sells devices and more about changing how a sophisticated, experienced partner takes on a new sales approach.

You are the senior relationship owner and the architect of how the partner's sales force sells our product well. You will earn buy-in at senior levels and credibility on the branch floor: negotiating access and buy-in at the senior partner level, and then rolling up your sleeves in the field with promoters, branch managers, and area leads, persuading them: showing, not just telling, why a different way of training, incentivizing, and selling will work better for everyone, including their own numbers.

Constant, dedicated field presence is the default mode of this role. The only way to know whether a sales initiative is working is to see it firsthand, so we need someone who spends real time in the market alongside the in-country team and stays healthily skeptical of the dashboards: the numbers tell you something happened, but only time in the field tells you why, and whether it will hold at scale. You will lead a small in-country team and work with a high degree of autonomy, trusted to act with integrity and set your own priorities in the market.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Partner Change Management

  • Build and refine a country-level sales playbook adapted to a financially sophisticated but device-inexperienced partner sales force.
  • Sequence the changes needed in training, incentives, trade marketing, and sales conversations so they are adopted rather than resisted, piloting in a controlled set of branches before wider rollout.

Partner Enablement and Sales Force Excellence

  • Own the outcome of sales-force training end to end: you need not be the trainer of record, but you are accountable for whether it changes behavior in the field.
  • Set a clear, measurable bar for "trained and selling well," measure effectiveness at the individual promoter and branch level, and run training as an ongoing cycle with defined paths for retraining.

Partner Alliance Management

  • Serve as senior relationship owner and point of accountability for the partner, aligning their incentives and selling behavior with our goals through credibility rather than authority.
  • Spot capability gaps and co-design solutions (training, incentives, trade marketing, or tools) in collaboration with the partner and with support from HQ.

Customer Journey Ownership

  • Own the end-customer experience from first touch through purchase and post-sale, installing quality checkpoints and holding the partner to them.
  • Gather structured customer and promoter feedback for HQ on product, pricing, and messaging.
  • Champion family buyers and first-time users in every commercial decision, ensuring the sale is affordable, the terms are explained in plain language, and no promoter or branch is incentivized to sell or lend irresponsibly.

Performance Management and Reporting

  • Own the Guatemala performance dashboard, with visibility into sales activity and outcomes at the level of the individual promoter and branch, not only aggregate views.
  • Set, track, and report partner KPIs; catch underperformance early, diagnose the cause, and put recovery plans in place with the partner.

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • A track record of building sales capability in partner or indirect sales teams, owning whether training changes results in the field, not just delivering it.
  • Typically five or more years of sales experience, including selling through partners or indirect teams; financial services, microfinance, or another regulated, relationship-driven environment is a strong plus.
  • High personal integrity, trusted to do right by customers and partners without close oversight.
  • Skilled at negotiating and building trust with senior partner leadership, and equally at home in the field with frontline promoters and branch staff.
  • Persuasive and diplomatic: able to introduce change without triggering defensiveness and to read and manage branch-level resistance.
  • Independent and proactive, with strong trade marketing and incentive-design instincts for initiatives that pilot small and scale fast.
  • Excellent communicator in Spanish with strong written English for HQ collaboration, comfortable in a distributed, multinational team.

Desirable

  • Experience with or inside a microfinance institution, cooperative, or similar mission-driven financial services organization in Guatemala or Central America.
  • Comfortable in technical product conversations, able to translate how the device and operating system work into plain language for promoters and first-time users.
  • Experience introducing a new product category to a sales force that has never sold it, and building a team as the program scales.

Our Working Style

Endless Access is a fully distributed, global nonprofit; most of the team works remotely and asynchronously across many countries. This role is the exception: onsite and field-based by design, while connecting regularly with HQ over writing and video. We want someone equally at home negotiating with partner leadership and working alongside promoters in a branch, while staying clear in writing with a head office they will rarely see in person.

Your perspective could be exactly what we need.
