As one of two Sales Director for Public Sector - Australia, you will join a collaborative ANZ team. This position is central to the growth of Quantexa's government business in Australia, aligning directly with the nation's digital transformation and data strategy goals. Working alongside Solution Engineering, Product, Marketing, Delivery, and Customer Success teams, you will be responsible for defining and executing our public sector go-to-market strategy for your territory, identifying new government opportunities, building a high-value pipeline, winning new deals, and meeting company targets.

What you’ll be doing.

  • Lead a dynamic, flexible and high energy sales team focused on the U.S. mid-size and community bank market, focused on the Quantexa new SaaS solution.

  • Investigate, understand, map and penetrate your target clients and prospects, building a comprehensive understanding of each organization as well as all of the key internal and external stakeholders.

  • In collaboration with leaders from sales, marketing and the business units, create a specific strategy for your named accounts.

  • Identify how Quantexa’s solutions map to the client’s needs. Learn and understand the compelling value proposition and narrative, and successfully apply to prospects, lead the sales process from lead to sales closing and beyond. Work with customer success and support teams to ensure client satisfaction. Expand current client spend across business units and Quantexa use cases.

  • Become a trusted advisor at the C level and below, leveraging your own growing expertise as well as the deep well of knowledge within Quantexa.

  • Understand Quantexa’s corporate and product specific marketing resources and messages and apply this knowledge in your selling activities. Attend industry events as necessary to support the growth of the business.

Requirements

What you’ll be doing

Typical responsibilities include working with our ANZ regional leadership and the Director of Solutions to define and execute a dedicated public sector sales strategy and go-to-market plan for your territory. You will consistently deliver against sales targets, contributing to the overall growth of our government business.

Your role will combine both "hunting" and "farming": nurturing pipeline within existing government engagements while bringing a proactive hunting mentality to capture new federal and state agency logos.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Government Go-To-Market Execution: Lead sales cycles across your territory, focusing on key domains such as Tax & Customs, Health, Border Security, Financial Intelligence Units (FIU), Procurement Integrity, and Fraud, Waste & Abuse (FWA).

  • Ecosystem & Partner-Led Co-Selling: Collaborate closely with our global and regional systems integrators, Cloud Service Providers and local specialized partners to drive "1+1=3" joint value propositions, securing large-scale government projects.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the strategic orchestrator across Solution Engineering, Marketing, Delivery, and Technical Account Partners (TAP) to deliver customized, consultative, and highly secure technology demonstrations.

  • Sovereign AI & Data Governance Positioning: Position Quantexa's open architecture, explainable Entity Resolution, and Sovereign AI capabilities as key differentiators against legacy platforms, aligning with Australia's data privacy regulations and localized deployment requirements.

What you’ll bring:

  • Australian Government Market Expertise: A deep understanding of Australian public sector operational issues, national digital priorities, and the ability to advise and "solutionize" with government stakeholders through a consultative, value-based sales approach.

  • Proven Enterprise Software Track Record: Proven success positioning and selling complex Enterprise Software, Data Platforms, or Decision Intelligence systems directly to government departments and public entities, or as part of a joint partner ecosystem.

  • Proven experience in building a market presence for a growing software company in the ANZ Public Sector market.

  • Established Australian Public Sector Network: Existing, trust-based relationships within key Australian federal or state government departments, and civilian agencies.

  • Ecosystem-First Mindset: Demonstrated experience co-selling and building pipeline alongside Global Systems Integrators (GSIs), local systems integrators, and cloud service providers (such as Microsoft and AWS).

  • Navigating Complex Procurement: Strong understanding of Australian public sector buying behaviors, government tender processes, and GTM challenges (including data privacy, security, and sovereignty requirements).

  • Independent & Inclusive Decision-Maker: Ability to operate autonomously and make decisive commercial choices, while remaining highly inclusive and collaborative when evaluating options with the broader ANZ team.

  • Resilience & Ambition: Optimistic, energetic, and resilient qualities with strong interpersonal skills, capable of delivering excellent results within complex, multi-stakeholder government environments.
