Acutronic is looking for a Sales Engineer to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA. In this role, you will be responsible for the creation and management of complex equipment proposals for simulation and test equipment used for defense, aerospace, automotive, and consumer products lab applications. No previous industry experience required. Our ideal candidate will have at least three years of capital equipment sales experience. Acutronic pays 100% of employee benefits, has a generous 401K match, and the sales incentive program is uncapped.

Acutronic makes unique simulation and test equipment used to test motion sensors (inertial sensors) and unique military applications for technology such as missel production, defensive optics, telescopes and other motion platforms.

Sales Engineer

Your Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed annual bookings targets
  • Interact with new and existing customers to increase services, turnkey solutions, and sales
  • Review customer requirements, recommend products that satisfy their needs, and work with the Operations team to develop technical proposals and specifications to build your pipeline
  • Attend tradeshows, networking events, and conferences to promote Acutronic’s products and meet prospective clients
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, internal collaborators, and partners
  • Develop pricing recommendations for systems
  • Develop and execute territory growth strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and leadership teams to support customer success
  • Maintain accurate records

Your Profile/Qualifications/Skills:

  • Associate’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field required, Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of three years of experience in capital equipment sales
  • Experience in the field of rotating equipment, servo systems or motion control a plus
  • Previous defense or government contracting experience a plus
  • Expected travel: 25%
