Sales Engineer selling elevator repair/replacement solutions; conducts site surveys, prepares quotes, negotiates terms, and manages customer relationships.
Job Description
- Manage customer enquiries and understand technical, operational and commercial requirements to recommend suitable repair and replacement solutions.
- Conduct site surveys, coordinate with factory and internal technical teams to develop cost-effective solutions.
- Prepare technical inquiries, cost estimates, quotations and proposals, ensuring required internal approvals and profitability targets are met.
- Present proposals, negotiate commercial terms and follow up with customers to secure orders and achieve sales targets.
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, purchasing, subcontractors and suppliers to support smooth and timely project execution.
- Serve as the key customer contact, provide project updates, resolve technical or commercial issues, and handle customer complaints professionally.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, managing agents, building owners and other key stakeholders.
- Identify new sales opportunities through customer visits, equipment assessments, market intelligence and existing account development.
- Monitor sales pipeline, quotation status and outstanding payments, and support resolution of billing matters when required.
- Ensure solutions and project activities comply with company standards, safety requirements and contractual obligations.
Job Requirement
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Sales & Marketing, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in sales, business development or technical-commercial roles, preferably within the lift/elevator, engineering, building systems or manufacturing industry.
- Strong customer service, communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Good commercial awareness with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple enquiries, quotations and projects while meeting deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP/ERP systems is an advantage.
