Job Description:

An Oleochemical trading executive acts as a vital link between chemical manufacturers & suppliers & customers, managing the buying and selling of products like fatty acids, fatty alcohols, and glycerine, personal care ingredients like Soap noodles / IPM / IPP/ Polysorbates etc.

The role focuses on expanding market reach, sales optimization and focus and optimizing margin.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Trade Execution & Sales: Generate and execute trades, identify new business opportunities, and manage both purchase and sales orders for oleochemical products.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including procurement and sales - regional focus on core region growth.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate trade terms, develop pricing strategies, and finalize trade contracts while ensuring adherence to compliance.
  • Market Analysis: be updated on regular market research to monitor supply and demand trends, pricing shifts, and competitor activities.
  • Logistics and OTIF monitoring : Collaborate with operations team and logistics teams to coordinate shipment schedules and ensure products are delivered according to required specifications and on time.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Manage your customers payment terms that are beneficial to the business.

Key Requirements

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Chemistry or a related field is typically required.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience in sales and trading within the oleochemical or speciality industry.
  • Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of oleochemical products, market dynamics, and global trade processes like bulk and container shipping operations.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills are essential for managing complex trade cycles and building lasting client relationship
