Sales Finance Operations Analyst
Description
You will own the future state—identifying, designing, and implementing process improvements, automation initiatives, and workflow optimizations that build repeatable systems, reduce manual work, improve data quality, and enable the team to do more with greater predictability and operational rigor. As a key member of the Finance Team, you will work to provide executives with data-driven guidance and actionable recommendations. You'll collaborate closely with Sales Operations, Deal Desk, Revenue Accounting, and Legal teams to track revenue impact and ensure cross-functional integration with the broader business.
Core Responsibilities
- Own process and workflow optimization — proactively identify inefficiencies and gaps in forecasting, reporting, and deal tracking processes. Develop and implement improvements that enhance speed, accuracy, and cross-team collaboration.
- Drive automation and tool development — lead initiatives to automate manual workflows, build dashboards and reporting tools, and reduce ad hoc analysis burden. Leverage AI and automation tools to drive efficiency across Sales Finance processes. Partner with Finance Systems and Engineering teams as needed.
- Turn ad hoc Revenue strategy and performance requests from leadership into scalable workflows — provide the immediate analytical support, identify recurring questions or patterns, and build repeatable processes or tools to address them and reduce future one-off requests.
- Support the Deal Desk team during peak activity periods, particularly quarter-end close. Streamline and improve closeout workflows and ensure timeliness and accuracy.
- Collaborate with forecasting team — work closely with the forecasting analyst to ensure that process improvements integrate seamlessly with weekly execution.
What We Require
- Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline.
- 3+ years in finance operations, process improvement, systems implementation, or sales operations.
- Comfortable operating in both strategic and tactical modes—designing improvements and executing operationally.
- High ownership and execution bias — sees problems and takes personal accountability for solutions from conception through implementation.
