Sales Floor Supervisor

Carhartt Work in Progress is seeking an experienced Sales Floor Supervisor to assist in overseeing the daily operations of our Silver Lake retail store. The Sales Floor Supervisor must be responsible for supporting the management team with daily operations and managing staff, with an emphasis on creating a positive customer experience.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of retail experience at a retail clothing store in a high traffic environment and a knowledge of diverse business subjects including but not limited to sales, merchandising, reporting, systems operations, and management. An effective Sales Floor Supervisor will have a proven ability to lead and motivate store associates while achieving sales goals, providing exceptional customer service, and cultivating a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise store staff, including talent supervision, and ensure the store runs smoothly.
• Engage and connect with customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Execute on-floor, in-person, sales strategies.
• Share product knowledge with customers to maximize sales.
• Engage with customers to build relationships and brand knowledge.
• Maintain knowledge of seasonal collections and current available inventory.
• Assist with daily opening and closing tasks to maintain a clean, neat, and tidy store.
• Maintain outstanding store condition and company’s visual merchandising standards.
• Remain positive and professional, working together with the team to make a great environment for our customers and each other.

Requirements

• Flexible availability to meet the needs of the business (including evenings and weekends).
• Interest in contemporary fashion, apparel, and pop culture.
• Knowledge and experience with retail business operations and processes.
• Outgoing, positive, affable demeanor.
• Powerful leadership skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• 3-5 years of retail experience preferred.
• Independent, proactive, and reliable work ethic.
• Possess strong knowledge of apparel fits and fabrications.
