Sales Growth Officer
1. POSITION PURPOSE
The
Business Development Officer is responsible for identifying, developing and
converting business opportunities that drive revenue growth, client acquisition
and market expansion. The role focuses on lead generation, prospecting,
opportunity qualification, client engagement, sales pipeline management,
proposal development, business conversion, account growth and market
intelligence across the Company's HR and business solutions, including
recruitment, staffing, training, outsourcing and related professional services.
2. KEY
RESPONSIBILITIES
a. Business Development & Lead Generation
· Identify and
pursue new business opportunities across targeted sectors, industries and
client segments.
· Develop and
maintain a qualified prospect database aligned to QSS Growth priorities.
· Generate leads
through cold calling, referrals, networking, digital platforms, market
research, industry events and other approved channels.
· Research
prospects, identify key decision-makers and understand their business and
workforce needs.
· Qualify leads
against established criteria and convert qualified prospects into active
opportunities.
· Maintain
consistent follow-up with leads to improve lead and opportunity conversion.
b. Sales Pipeline & Opportunity Management
· Develop and
maintain a healthy, qualified and continuously progressing sales pipeline.
· Track
opportunities from initial engagement through qualification, proposal,
negotiation and closure.
· Maintain
accurate CRM records, including opportunity value, stage, probability, expected
closure date and next action.
· Prioritize
opportunities based on commercial potential, strategic fit and probability of
conversion.
· Provide
regular pipeline updates, forecasts and recommendations to management.
c. Client Relationship & Account Development
· Build and
maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
· Understand
client business, HR and workforce challenges and position appropriate
solutions.
· Apply a
consultative approach to client engagement and solution development.
· Identify
cross-selling, upselling and account expansion opportunities.
· Coordinate
with internal teams to support effective solution development, client
engagement and handover of acquired business.
· Capture and
communicate client feedback, emerging needs and opportunities.
d. Proposals, Bids & Business Conversion
· Prepare and
coordinate proposals, quotations, presentations, pitch decks and other sales
materials.
· Translate
client requirements into commercially viable solution propositions.
· Participate in
client presentations, negotiations and clarification meetings.
· Track
submitted proposals and actively follow up opportunities through to closure.
· Support
negotiations within delegated authority and ensure commitments align with
approved commercial and operational capabilities.
e. Revenue Growth & Market Development
· Take ownership
of assigned opportunities and drive them towards successful conversion.
· Contribute to
agreed monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets.
· Identify new
sectors, clients, projects, tenders and market opportunities.
· Monitor
industry trends, competitor activities and emerging client requirements.
· Identify
strategic partnerships, referrals and networks that can support market
expansion.
· Provide
actionable market intelligence to support business development planning.
f. CRM, Reporting & Performance Management
· Maintain
accurate and up-to-date records of all prospecting, client engagement and sales
activities in the CRM.
· Ensure every
active opportunity has a defined next action and follow-up date.
· Track and
report on leads, qualified opportunities, client meetings, pipeline value,
proposals, wins/losses, conversion rates and expected revenue.
· Prepare
periodic sales and pipeline reports with clear commentary on performance, risks
and required actions.
· Maintain
accurate sales forecasts and recommend corrective actions where performance is
below target.
Requirements
1. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s
degree in business administration, Marketing, Commerce, Human Resources,
Management or a related discipline.
- 2–4
years' relevant experience in business development, B2B sales, client
acquisition, account management, HR consulting, recruitment or
professional services.
- Demonstrated
ability to work against sales targets and contribute to measurable revenue
growth.
- Proficiency
in CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho or equivalent.
- Strong
communication, presentation, negotiation and proposal-writing skills.
- Strong
commercial awareness, client relationship management and consultative
selling capability.
- Proactive,
results-oriented, self-driven and highly organized.
