Sales Interior Designer

Job Description

Boloni is seeking an experienced and creative Interior Designer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing functional and visually appealing interior design solutions, from initial concept development through documentation and project completion.

The role involves meeting clients to understand their requirements, design preferences, timelines, and budgets; developing layouts and design concepts; preparing presentations and technical drawings; and coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the project.

The ideal candidate should have a strong design perspective, excellent space-planning skills, sound technical knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Meet clients to understand their requirements, design preferences, project scope, timeline, and budget.
• Develop creative and functional interior design concepts for residential, hospitality, and commercial projects.
• Prepare space-planning layouts, mood boards, material boards, presentations, hand sketches, and other design proposals.
• Produce detailed technical drawings, working drawings, and construction documentation using AutoCAD.
• Create 3D perspectives using SketchUp to help clients visualise the proposed design concepts.
• Provide recommendations on furniture layouts, finishes, materials, colours, lighting, and other interior elements.
• Ensure that all designs comply with relevant local codes, authority requirements, and industry standards.
• Demonstrate a good understanding of interior detailing, materials, construction methods, applications, and costs.
• Work closely with the Design Lead, Project Managers, Design Coordinators, suppliers, contractors, and project teams from concept development through construction.
• Coordinate design requirements and resolve design-related matters during project implementation.
• Monitor project deliverables and ensure that design schedules and deadlines are met.
• Attend client meetings, project discussions, and site visits when required.
• Manage multiple projects independently while maintaining accuracy and design quality.
• Maintain clear communication with clients and internal and external stakeholders.
• Support and promote teamwork and cooperation among colleagues.
• Carry out other design- and project-related duties assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• A recognised Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related discipline.
• At least three years of relevant local working experience in residential, hospitality, or commercial interior design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in commercial or hospitality design will be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of space planning, interior detailing, materials, finishes, and construction practices.
• Familiar with applicable local codes, regulations, and authority requirements.
• Creative, organised, detail-oriented, and able to translate client requirements into practical design solutions.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, responsible, analytical, and committed to delivering projects successfully.
• Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• A positive team player with a high level of integrity.
• Good command of English and Mandarin, as the role requires communication with Mandarin-speaking clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
