Sales Manager / Account Manager - Marine

Responsibilities: -
• Primary focus will be to effectively establish and execute a sales strategy to capture new and existing customers in and within the Marine sector to include but not limited to shipyards, owners and operators in and within the assigned area.
• Working in capture teams and ensure securing of business in responsible customer base. If require lead the capture teams and win the projects with customer satisfaction.
• Discuss technical specification and commercial contract for all marine power products, retrofit, agreement and service projects.
• Develop, submit and assume accountability for, order intake and margin budget among assigned customer accounts.
• Maintain and further develop present assigned customer relationships.
• Identify and develop prospects.
• Plan and implement ongoing customer visits providing a strong professional relationship with assigned customers.
• Ensure that customer inquiries, orders and complaints are responded to in a prompt and satisfactory manner.
• Develop and maintain Customer Satisfaction.
• Monitor the entire sales process and ensure accurate invoicing and timely payments.
• Maintain up -to -date and accurate customer records among assigned customer accounts in CRM.
• Collect and communicate market intelligence and competitor information.
• Identify customer needs and initiate development of new products and services fulfilling those needs.
• Identify and communicate customer values related to services and product marketed and sold by Wärtsilä.
• Visiting Responsible customer accounts.
• Preparing Visit Reports and submitting to concerned departments.
• Communicate customer's voice and requirements to relevant internal stakeholders
• Updating records on CRM Salesforce.
• Assist receivable team for the timely collection of payments from responsible customer accounts.
Requirements:
• Preferably, BSc. Degree in mechanical, electrical or marine engineering.
• 5 plus years of technical sales experience in Marine industry with total 10+ years’ experience.
• 5 plus years of technical experience in Marine industry with total 10+ years’ experience.
• Good knowledge of Wartsila New Build Marine solutions.
• Good knowledge of Wärtsilä After Sales Products & Services.
We expect you to have good communication skills in addition to customer relations understanding. Ability to solve problems and experience from technical communication are needed in this position. In this role, you will also need to have skills for teamwork, leadership and networking. The work in the international environment will also require cultural knowledge and understanding.
