This is a true sales position for someone who enjoys developing relationships, conducting site tours, creating memorable event experiences, and closing high-value business. The Social Sales Manager will own the social segment and be responsible for driving revenue across guest rooms, food & beverage, and event-space rental.
Drive wedding and social-event sales through proactive prospecting, relationship development, referrals, and inbound lead conversion
Manage the sales process from initial inquiry through site tour, proposal, negotiation, and signed agreement
Achieve established revenue goals across guest rooms, F&B, and event-space rental
Maximize the total value of each event through room blocks, wedding-weekend activities, food & beverage, and additional event opportunities
Develop relationships with wedding planners, event professionals, referral partners, and other sources of social business
Conduct compelling property tours and site inspections for prospective clients
Create customized proposals and experiences based on each client's needs
Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurate account activity within hotel sales and CRM systems
Partner closely with events and operations teams to ensure a smooth transition from sale through execution
Monitor market activity, competitive venues, and booking trends to identify new opportunities
Represent the property at industry events, networking functions, wedding-related events, and sales activities
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is a proven hospitality salesperson with experience selling weddings and high-value social events. We are particularly interested in candidates from boutique hotels, resorts, luxury properties, destination wedding venues, wineries, private clubs, and other upscale event-driven environments.
Candidates should be comfortable selling the complete event experience, including guestrooms, catering/F&B, venue rental, and related wedding-weekend events—not simply coordinating events after they have been booked.
Strong candidates will bring:
3+ years of hospitality, catering, wedding, or social-event sales experience
Demonstrated success generating and closing high-value event business
Experience working toward defined sales and revenue goals
Strong prospecting and relationship-building skills
Experience conducting site tours, developing proposals, negotiating, and closing
Understanding of guestroom blocks and hotel/group room revenue
Knowledge of catering, F&B, and event-space sales
