Sales Manager, Bio Medical Optics
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Sales with a minimum aggregate budget across targeted accounts between $5M-$10M per year. This position is responsible for business development and selling the business’s optical portfolio of products to expand the targeted Biomedical Optics customer base through a combination of direct and channel sales activities. Analyses and defines the market for overall sales strategies and prioritize opportunities; including but not limited to customer needs assessment, forecasting, and competitive landscape.
Core Sales & Commercial Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed revenue targets for Go!Foton products and solutions in support of biomedical optic products, aligning with company goals and market trends
- Opportunity development – identify, qualify and prioritize new biomedical optical business opportunities (clients, partners, channels).
- Lead and manage the optical solution selling to ensure high performance, accountability, and adherence to company standards
- Negotiate contracts and manage formulary discussions with healthcare organizations, ensuring compliance with pricing and requirements
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and Go!Foton teams to align sales strategies with product launches, promotions, and scientific messaging
- Monitor and analyze sales data to forecast trends, identify growth opportunities, and adjust strategies accordingly
- Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and medical events to network, generate leads, and represent the company’s scientific and commercial value
- Maintain compliance with healthcare industry regulations, ethical selling practices, and company policies
- Educate healthcare professionals on Go!Foton products and solutions supporting biomedical optic technology.
- Coordinate joint go-to-market motions with marketing, product and sales teams.
- Collaborate with clinical and medical affairs teams to ensure accurate, compliant scientific communication
- Support contract negotiations with scientific and clinical data to strengthen product positioning
- Maintain detailed records of scientific interactions, training sessions, and product demonstration
- Performs revenue and demand forecasting, account planning, project planning, and other related sales administration tasks to reach financial objectives
- Leverage customer relationship building skills in order to foster and manage engagements across targeted and new customers from both direct and channel partner perspectives
- Function as the primary interface for all pre-sales engagements, including establishing relationships with target customers across all roles within the assigned accounts and markets
- Become a trusted advisor to customers, clearly articulating to relevant audiences how Go!Foton products and solutions can support the customer's business and technology objectives and initiatives
- Build and grow internal network across Sales, Marketing, PLM, Engineering and Operations, providing real-time market feedback to drive product strategies, features, and roadmaps
