Job Summary
Drive business growth by identifying and securing new logistics clients, achieving sales targets, and managing customer relationships within contract logistics, warehousing, transportation, and freight management sectors.
Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new business opportunities in contract logistics, warehousing, transportation, and freight management to expand the customer base
- Achieve sales targets and revenue growth by developing and closing new customer accounts
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Collaborate in corporate sales planning and strategy development to align with business goals
- Prepare and submit detailed proposals to customers to support sales efforts
- Respond promptly and follow up on customer inquiries and requests to ensure service quality
- Communicate customer expectations clearly to internal teams and vendors to ensure alignment
- Provide timely and accurate industry and customer intelligence to inform business decisions
- Monitor customer payments and ensure adherence to agreed credit terms to maintain cash flow
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Sales, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a hunter sales role within the freight forwarding and logistics industry
- Strong knowledge of freight forwarding, contract logistics, warehousing, transportation, and supply chain solutions
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to manage and grow client relationships
