Sales Manager
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets.
Identify and develop new customers, contractors, interior designers, developers, and business opportunities.
Meet customers to understand their carpentry, cabinetry, furniture, and renovation requirements.
Prepare quotations, proposals, and project pricing based on customer specifications and drawings.
Follow up on quotations and negotiate pricing and project terms with customers.
Manage the complete sales process from initial enquiry to project confirmation.
Coordinate with carpenters, designers, project managers, and production teams to ensure customer requirements are clearly communicated.
Monitor project costs, margins, and profitability.
Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and encourage repeat business.
Lead, motivate, and monitor the performance of the sales team.
Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and updates for management.
Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and negotiations professionally.
Ensure sales commitments are realistic and aligned with production and installation capabilities.
Attend site visits and coordinate measurements when required.
Ensure proper documentation of customer requirements, quotations, purchase orders, and project details.
Requirements
Experience in carpentry, custom furniture, cabinetry, renovation, or construction sales is highly preferred.
Proven experience in sales and business development, preferably with supervisory or managerial experience.
Good understanding of carpentry materials, construction processes, and project costing.
Strong negotiation, communication, and customer relationship skills.
Ability to read and understand basic construction or furniture drawings is an advantage.
Strong leadership and target-oriented mindset.
Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and quotation/sales systems.
