SALES MANAGER
As a Sales Manager, you will fill a vital role in supporting River Landing's financial goals through selling guestrooms, catering services, golf, and banquet facilities through direct client contact to maximize total revenues.
Requirements:
- High school degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience and a minimum of 2 years general hospitality experience.
- Experience in Sales, Catering, or Food and Beverage.
- Guest service experience.
- Computer, CRM, POS experience needed with comfortability with Microsoft applications.
- Exceptional attention to details.
- Ability to work varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized.
- Excellent listening skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides knowledgeable direction, coordination, and suggestions in the booking through completion of event contracts with clients.
- Ensures clients signatures on event contracts with deposits and final payments received from groups to secure facilities and services.
- Assists in building banquet business through business networking, trade shows, company door to door sales, repeat business, and other means.
- Ensures booking of event space and event details is complete with signed contracts.
- Conducts site tours with potential clients and starts and completes contracts including banquet event orders for every event booked. Acts as a public relations figure and assists banquet manager and food and beverage team when needed.
- Maintains constant and up to date written and verbal communications with all clients, meeting planners, Event Coordinator, and Director of Sales
- Communicates very quickly with all prospective and booked clients via emails, phone calls, in person meetings, and voice messages.
- Maintains the CRM with client contact information, client communication, event details, etc.
- Possess knowledge of venue and menu information for selling and operational purposes. Knows monetary figures of food, beverage, or insularly items that will be discussed with clients other than what is printed on the banquet menu. Assists in selling accommodations for The Inn at River Landing, Cottages, and Clubhouse Suite. Any discounts granted to guests must be approved by the Director of Sales prior to booking.
- Reports any improper maintenance and upkeep of all banquet areas.
- Creates courteous, friendly, and professional work environment.
- Carries out other duties as defined by management.
- Spends 25% of time conducting outside Sales calls and Sales Blitzes.
- Forecasts and accurately records for all bookings and cancelations.
- Establishes client base of organizations, associations, social groups, and corporate businesses through direct outside and inside sales, in order to secure business for RL.
