Short company intro

Neat N Tidy is a residential cleaning company founded in Denver in 2022. We now serve homeowners in major US metros including Denver, Phoenix, Chicago, Charlotte, Seattle, Boston, Miami, Atlanta, and the Washington DC area. Customers find us on Google and Bing, call or fill out a form, and our sales team reaches them within minutes. Most of our revenue is won on that first call.

Recurring service (every week, every two weeks, or every four weeks) is the heart of the business. A recurring customer is worth many times a one-time customer, so every call ends with a confident recurring recommendation.

You inherit a working system: every call is recorded and graded by AI against our script, live KPI dashboards update through the day, a full sales training library with certification is in place, and the company runs on a written management system. Your job is to make that system produce, and to keep raising the bar.

The role

We are hiring a Sales Manager who builds great salespeople. You will lead a remote team of phone sales reps who turn inbound home-cleaning leads into booked and recurring customers. This is a coaching role first: you will be measured by how much better your team sells every week, and by how fully every rep adopts the training, playbook, and tools we give them. You will also be AI-first in how you work, using AI every day to coach faster, prepare better, and raise the whole team's performance.

What success looks like

Team targets are set by the Company and reviewed monthly. Current targets:

- Team close rate: 45% or higher (unique customers booked divided by valid leads)
- Recurring rate: 11% or more of bookings are verified recurring plans
- Monthly booked revenue: $300,000 or more
- Revenue per rep shift: $2,000 or more
- Speed to lead: median first call to a new lead under 2 minutes
- Show rate: jobs sold are jobs that happen; a high and rising share of sold jobs completed
- Call quality: rising average graded call scores against the Company script
- New rep ramp: new reps reach a 40% close rate within 1 to 2 weeks of taking live calls

Your headline numbers are the team's. When you take calls yourself, your stats are tracked like every rep's.

Responsibilities

1. Coach and develop every rep (the core of the job)

Review calls every day. Use the AI call grades to find the calls that matter most, then listen yourself and confirm the grade before you coach from it. Hold a weekly 1:1 with every rep, built on their numbers and real call clips. Meet twice a week with any rep below standard. Coach one behavior at a time: name it, model the better version, have the rep redo it on the spot, assign practice, and check their next live calls to confirm it stuck. Run role plays and mock calls every day covering full calls, pain discovery, pricing, objection handling, and the recurring recommendation. Give same-day written feedback in Slack and log coaching in the Team Hub so every rep's progress is visible. Keep a development plan for each rep with one strength to build on, one gap to close, and a dated target. Recognize wins quickly and publicly. Address underperformance early with a clear plan, specific targets, and a deadline. Grow future leaders by pairing strong reps with newer reps as mentors.

2. Cascade training and the sales playbook

Master the Company's call script, pricing rules, and training programs first, and earn the same certification your reps earn. When the script, a rule, or a process changes, roll it out within one week: teach it in huddle, drill it, certify every rep, and verify it on live calls. Report adoption to the Company. Assign training modules against each rep's real gaps from graded calls, so every hour of training targets a specific behavior. Run a short daily huddle covering yesterday's numbers, one focus skill, and one drill. Keep a living library of winning call clips for pain discovery, pricing, objections, and recurring. When training and real calls disagree, bring the evidence and a recommended fix to the Company.

3. Lead with AI every day

Use AI as a core part of how you manage: preparing 1:1s from transcripts and scorecards, finding patterns across dozens of calls, building role-play scenarios and drills, and summarizing the week's results. Use AI as a practice partner, running realistic customer role plays, and teach every rep to practice the same way between 1:1s. Teach reps to use AI to review their own calls and prepare, so improvement happens every day, not only in meetings. Treat AI output as a strong first draft: verify every grade, summary, and number against the recording or source data before acting on it. Find new ways AI can lift team performance or free up manager time. Test them small, measure the result, and propose what works to the Company. Use only Company-approved AI tools and accounts for anything containing customer or business information.

4. Hire and ramp new reps

Interview candidates the Company has screened, using live role plays and a coachability test. Run the ramp: week one is training, call shadowing, and mock calls; live calls begin in week two once the rep is cleared. Make clear, timely decisions with the Company when a new rep is not reaching the 40% ramp standard.

5. Run the sales floor

Keep every shift covered from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM Mountain Time, with new leads always called first. Drive first-call closing with full discovery, the customer's real reason for calling, confident pricing, and a recurring recommendation on every call. Keep the follow-up cadence disciplined as a backstop for leads who need a second conversation. Step into overflow and difficult calls and show the team what a great call sounds like. Keep records accurate: complete booking notes, and recurring plans entered only when the customer clearly agreed.

6. Own the numbers

Review the prior day's numbers at the start of every working day, and know each rep's numbers and the reasons behind them before being asked. Send a daily end-of-day report in Slack and a weekly report to the Company covering results against target, what you coached, what changed, and what comes next. Diagnose by funnel stage (contact, quote, close, recurring, show) and fix the cause, not just the number. Share lead-quality and market patterns with the Company so marketing and offers keep improving.

7. Work across the company

Partner with the General Manager over Operations and Customer Success on clean booking handoffs, early cancellations, show rate, and turning first-time customers into recurring ones. Make sure what reps promise on calls matches what the cleaning team delivers. Bring what customers say on calls (objections, competitors, questions) back to the Company. Advertising and pricing decisions stay with the Company.

8. Standards and judgment

Hold the Company's pricing and discount rules exactly, and sell on value, outcome, and our guarantee. Make decisions under $250 on your own. Pricing, policy, and spending decisions go to the Company. Escalate patterns, not single incidents, with the context, the impact, the actions already taken, and your recommendation. Own mistakes quickly, fix them, and document the fix in the relevant SOP so it stays fixed.
