Sales Manager (Off Premise)

Position Summary:

The Off-Premise Sales Manager is responsible for proactively growing Peachtree Catering & Events’ off-premise catering business through outbound prospecting, relationship development, consultative sales, and strategic business development. This role is expected to identify and pursue new business opportunities, cultivate long-term client, referral, and venue relationships, and build a strong pipeline of self-generated opportunities rather than relying primarily on inbound inquiries.

Working closely with the Director of Sales & Business Development, the Off-Premise Sales Manager helps execute the company’s strategy for increasing off-premise revenue, diversifying its event portfolio, and expanding Peachtree’s presence throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. This includes researching and targeting prospective clients, venues, planners, corporate organizations, nonprofit groups, and industry partners; initiating outreach; conducting discovery conversations, presentations, and site visits; developing proposals; negotiating contracts; and closing business.

The Off-Premise Sales Manager also manages incoming off-premise inquiries and serves as the primary sales contact throughout the sales process. Once an event is booked, events will generally transition to the Event Coordination team so the Off-Premise Sales Manager can remain focused on prospecting, business development, and revenue generation. In limited circumstances, including short-turnaround events or periods of peak operational demand, the Off-Premise Sales Manager may be asked by the Director of Sales & Business Development to provide event coordination support.

The role collaborates closely with Culinary, Beverage, Operations, Event Coordination, Service, Staffing, Marketing, and company leadership to develop customized event experiences that meet client expectations while supporting operational feasibility and profitability.

Success in this role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, demonstrated success generating new business, exceptional relationship-building skills, strong sales judgment, and the discipline to maintain consistent outbound business development activity.

  • Ensure complete and accurate event information is documented before transition to the Event Coordination team.
  • Maintain accurate information regarding lead sources, prospecting activities, booked business, lost business, and pipeline status to support department forecasting and business development planning.

Event Transition and Operational Support

  • Partner with Event Coordination to ensure a clear, timely, and complete transition of booked events from Sales into the planning and execution process.
  • Provide Event Coordination and Operations with client history, expectations, contractual commitments, and other relevant information developed during the sales process.

  • Seek opportunities to strengthen collaboration between Sales and Event Coordination and promote a consistent client experience from initial inquiry through event execution.

Strategic and Departmental Collaboration

  • Partner with the Director of Sales & Business Development to execute strategic initiatives that support the growth and diversification of the off-premise business.
  • Provide market observations, client feedback, pipeline information, and competitive insights to support department planning and decision-making.
  • Attend weekly sales meetings and other relevant company planning meetings.
  • Provide regular updates regarding outbound activity, pipeline development, prospective partnerships, market trends, and business opportunities.
  • Support department-wide initiatives and provide sales coverage as business demands require.
  • Represent Peachtree professionally at networking events, industry functions, tastings, venue visits, client meetings, and catered events.
